wow i'm starting to blog more often now...and it's not a burden! not sure how much i'll blog the rest of this week though, lotsa crap to do. in fact, if you see me on AIM too much...tell me to get off. i should actually be doing some hw right now but i'm watching wrestling o_O plus i needa blog about my day. big thanks to bao! ^_^ she made me a death by chocolate cake for my bday today. so good! as long as you have milk hehe (which we did in the gameroom, way to think ahead). so yes, thanks again buddy!

ack what the heck. i just realized that in the excitement of saturday night, i only blogged about the tournament and not my morning! well, the lovely ms. cynthia chi took me out for brunch at la madeleine where we determined that croissants are better when they're not crunchy. after that we went to old navy and didn't find any kitty heel sandals, too bad :P fun times though. thanks so much, cyn. and i don't mean for just the morning, but thanks for everything

so tonight was the spaghetti cookoff and volleyball tournament at FBCC. our food took longer to make than we thought so steven and joe didn't get there till 15 or so minutes after 6...but i think they still judged ours. we didn't win though hehe. s'ok steven, not everyone puts meat in their spaghetti sauce. after eating lots of spaghetti (i don't even like it :P) everyone moved to the gym for the big show. there were 9 teams and 3 rounds. so the first round we moved on, no sweat. second round we played some scarier dudes but we beat em. then came the championship game :-O we went up a bit early but then they took the lead...pretty big too. it was 20-13 and we were playing to 25, win by 2 :-O eventually they got 24!!! and i had to serve...man i was so nervous, cuz if i messed up on serve that'd be the game. but luckily we tied them!! awesome comeback. so it kept going back and forth...championship point after championship point...so many lead changes! but man everyone was so clutch and we won!!!!!!!! WOOHOO FOR MEN'S COLLEGE GROUP! ^_^ awesome feeling. what a game. so we got our little trophy ^_^ if you ever go to john's office, be sure to look for it. well i'm gonna go get some rest after that fun-age. stay cool people

slept in today, then got to UH at 3 to study for my orgo exam...took that at 7, think it went okay. better than the last one at least. man traffic was horrible on the way home. tried to take a detour using 610 and when i got back on 59 i got on THE WRONG WAY. realized that when i saw a "610 Loop, 1/4 mi." sign...so i turned around and hit more traffic...almost hit a freaking old car that stopped so suddenly. thankfully i got home safe and sound though. ate dinner with my parents and that's about it for my day

oh yeah...about 4 this morning, some dude was going around my neighborhood opening people's cars...so sometime between 4 and 5 he starts rummaging through the heartbreaker >:O i always tell my parents to lock the door but they never do! my mom just replies "we don't live in the ghetto" haha....oy. but thankfully my neighbor was awake and in his garage at the time so he sees this fool and asks him what he's doing. all he says is "my buddy asked me to get something from his car" and then walks off. my neighbor calls the cops and they bust the guy, who apparently had a gun on him :X thank God my neighbor was safe after confronting the dude. apparently the guy had found house keys in some other lady's car and went into her house....all he did was steal her purse though. all this resulted in about six cop cars on my street at about 5:30. oddly enough, i slept through the entire thing :P

guess i'm gonna go get some sleep now, got a brunch date tomorrow morning :P hehe. stay cool people

haha...thanks bey. anyways, what's up people? i got my diff eqns exam back today...105 baby! wewt. but i have my orgo exam friday...ugh. that class isn't as fun as i had hoped. did have CBS today and that was fun. i never used to know what bible study really was, but it turns out it's exactly what i need -- a nice way to go indepth into what the bible is really saying. great fellowship too. oh and john even brought some cheesecake to celebrate mine and dehorne's birthdays this week. man those guys eat a lot...we went through 2 bags of chips, 2 boxes of gushers, a jug of fruit juice, and a cheesecake in about 2 hours. just hope they're not too full for our spaghetti cookoff/volleyball tournament this saturday hehe. looking forward to that. anyways i best be doing my CHEE hw now...don't wanna stay up too late tonight. stay cool people

so spring break ended on somewhat of a dull note. too bad so many people had to leave early. anyways, dawn of the dead was...well entertaining i'd say. i was pretty freaked at first, i'll admit. it was probably the fact that angela was flipping out next to me haha. but after a few "funny" parts the movie didn't seem very scary. no long term effects from it either, though i was a bit "alarmed" one night when my dog stared out one of our windows downstairs and started barking. went to H&H music yesterday and took an hour to decide on some basic drumming music. comes with a CD to play along with so i think that'll help me develop some basic skills. house is so quiet now. i think i might actually miss my bro and his family as much as my UT family. well i better check my backpack and see what hw i should've done over spring break...i'll leave you guys with some pictures of our crew at thai gourmet and in the town center

week before spring break - had the badminton tourney with vineet. we won our first round! but in the second we played the best team who eventually ended up winning the whole thing. wayne came back that day too! saw him a few times but unfortunately didn't really get to chill with him. lots and lots of work also. was so nervous about my diff eqns exam...stayed up from midnight-6AM studying and doing those problems for the first time...took my exam at 10 and OWNED it. possibly scored higher than a 100. so stoked about that. that just totally set my mood for the SB that would start the next day

saturday - not much except a family night. ate dinner and played board games for a while. nice to spend time with my whole family for once

sunday - church from 9-1, fun as usual. then met up with lots of people at the mall for lunch. walked around for a bit (well all i did was carry deb's stuff :P) before we went home. went to maria's that night with david and raymond and played "secret sound" - the game where you guess the origins of sound effects. how fun does that sound? well however fun you thought, it's about 1/10 of that.

monday - went to lunch at panera bread with miss cynthia chi. talked for a bit there and went to coldstone for a free kid's creation hehe. thanks for the good time~ twas nice to hang out again finally. at 5 i went with david to the toyota center. thank you mr. ho for that. one of his dad's business associates has season tickets, center court row 8. man too good. so swanky down there. stood behind yao ming's parents! man they're huge. anyways game was awesome, too bad we lost in overtime.

tuesday - got a call from annie at noon inviting me to go to galveston. we were supposed to meet at annie's at 1:30 to leave, but everyone being asian, we didn't really leave SL till about 3 or so. man i had such a blast there. had a nice mini picnic on those big rocks. helped shoot a potato gun for the first time too hehe. some dude (an aggie apparently) even walked up to us and asked about the gun...then he busted out his own 1337 one. small world. after frisbee + football with mok peter xiao, everyone sorta walked down the beach and played in the water a bit. i wonder whose idea it was to make a human pyramid. well, after many tries (most of which ended in ophelia tumbling over my head) and unsuccessful pictures, we got it! perfect shot too:

got dropped off at church on the way home for CBS (thanks deb :D). funny but awesome how i feel so comfortable around those guys already. my dad picked me up afterwards and i got a call from angela in the car inviting me to play tennis with her and jennifer. man, it never ends! so busy hehe. so i met them at avalon and played till 11:35 when the lights shut off. we ended up just talking in the parking lot until 2AM. i ALWAYS break my curfew when i hang out with them...yeesh. actually i've already done that 3 times this week...oops.

wednesday - went to david's in the afternoon to game. we are head ninja. then went to fuddrucker's for tim's bday get together. soo many people, all of whom went to maria's afterwards. thanks for the sacrifice maria. and sorry for getting you voted out in mafia :P p.s. gj you r0x0r password

thursday - stayed at home in the afternoon and watched wrestlemania xx (which i d/led...if anyone wants i'll send it). at 6(ish) we met up at oph's for Y AY FOR FRIENDS! the heartbreaker express and company went to thai gourmet for dinner. never had thai food before but it was good i'd say. the people alone were worth the money, even if we were overdressed hehe. thanks for being my bathroom buddy again simon hehe. afterwards we went to the fountain in the town center and took some pretty pictures. even made another (6 guy shoulder) pyramid. then went to deb's and played a round of family feud before people had to go. next time i WILL stay deb! haha

today - went to lunch with angela at denny's. man i like their menu, i needa go back. anyways we both ordered too much food hehe. but it was nice to eat solo with her like we always do :D then went to annie's to help her format her computer. thanks david for the winxp cd. we watched part of grease while we waited for the comp to format. sorry you got a headache annie :\ hope you feel better. and sorry i couldn't ball mok, next time though. pretty soon i'm gonna stop by michelle's for an hour to see people. then dawn of the dead at 9:45 with angela jennifer and leah (maybe maria too?). o0o0o scary...good thing i'll have plenty of hands to hold. haha j/k.

oh yeah i forgot to tell this story

so a week or two ago some club was giving out slices of king cake at UH. later in the day though all those people had left and i assumed the cake was gone. one of the guys in the gameroom told us that the extras had just gotten moved to the underground. so bao asks me to go get some cake with her (and since i had barely eaten that day, i wanted some too). so after searching for it we finally find it, and she makes me cut my piece first. so i do, and there's about half the cake left. she then proceeds to take the entire box when no one's looking and walk off with it haha. pretty funny stuff. but we're not evil...there was still an entire cake left. anyways, i ripped off part of the box lid to take a picture of it cuz i thought it was darn funny. reminds me of brian. but only later was i informed that there's actually a little plastic baby somewhere in the cake. weird, huh?

so here's my austin post

hmm...in the middle of typing this...i wondered why i was chronicling everything i did...so sorry but this'll be somewhat brief

picked up ling on friday (later than i had wanted, my bad) and off we went. once again the trip didn't seem that long with good company and good music. get to david's dorm at about 6 and put all of our crap up. i met up with angela and bea after that and we went to CBS. gosh so good to see them again, especially bea since it's been 2 months :O CBS was fun but a lot different than what i expected and am used to. went to maria and sheree's dorm afterwards (thanks for dinner guys ^_^) to meet up with them, david, ling, eric and yvonne, then back to david's, then to the union for some bowling. woke up saturday morning and david, ling and i met up with maria and sheree at JCL to get some food, then took it to zilker park for some picnic action. a little chilly for my tastes. yeah this trip wasn't as hectic as the last one, cuz after that i just kinda lounged with big D. DDR'ed at einstein's, not much else. took a while to figure out what we'd do for dinner (which was sort of a waste of time since we ate somewhere else). so after dinner with angela, david, ling, maria and sheree, david dropped us off at the union (i let him drive my car to save space) for the CBS talent show. it was pretty good i'd say. good job annie alex and jeremy! then a lot of us went to wendy's for a bit of food and a lot of chilling. then i went to maria's (easier than saying maria and sheree's...ironic though, since i just typed it out anyways) with her and sheree and we watched the first half of "the classic" (some korean drama). it wasn't bad, pretty cute...except i sorta fell asleep. thanks for letting me crash on your uncomfortable floor guys :D hehe. woke up late on sunday and didn't go to church like i had promised heh. my bad, next time guys. went to chipotle at lunch for their free promotion thingy. woohoo for free burritos! wish i had gotten to see more people before i left. sunday wasn't very eventful until ling and i decided to leave...so we go to my car and my automatic locks won't work...that's when i look over and realize that david had left my headlights on from the night before haha. s'ok though bro, no biggie. HUGE thanks to nathaniel and leissa for bailing me out and jumping my car. can't thank you enough. and that was about it for my trip. lots of fun and great people (with a bit of stress to show that UT isn't perfect :P)

they built a new panera bread! it's on highway 6 down by that taco cabana and home depot. speaking of food places...the quizno's over by kroger has the worst service haha. the people there have very little idea of what they're doing...they have to keep looking at the menu to see how to make the sandwiches. and today they tried to charge me 2 x ($1.99) for 2 sandwiches instead of the $3.79 for 2 sandwiches price. sup wit dat? but they guy gave me a free bag of chips after that mix up. so even though the service is very slow and a bit frustrating, they're nice people.

darn i was gonna go drum earlier but i sat around too long and now i'm lazy. in fact, i'm too lazy to type anymore. maria, if you read this, SEND ME THE CLASSIC. oy
