so i finally registered for classes yesterday...haha. yeah i know, i'm terrible...this is the third consecutive semester that i've registered for classes extremely late. however, this is probably the best schedule i've gotten haha. there are no gaps whatsoever! just took a lot of organizing. unfortunately this chinese language and culture class i wanted to take doesn't transfer to UT so i didn't wanna waste any hours on it right now. i'm at 18 hours now and they won't let me take more than 19...otherwise i'd take it anyways just to help boost my GPA. well anyways, here's my schedule for fall:

MW
2:30-4 US history from 1877-present
4-5:30 physical geology
5:30-7 organic chemistry

TTH
11:30-1 fundamentals of music
1-2:30 thermodynamics
2:30-4 bible and western culture

really looking forward to fundamentals of music and bible and western culture, should be quite interesting ^_^ and obviously i will have all 3-day weekends again this semester. w00t for me. alright time to go watch the texans' first preseason game! stay cool people

Your package is in the UPS system and is on time with a scheduled delivery date of Aug 11, 2004.

:D i want it now. hopefully it'll match the shirt i bought at academy tonight. i got some shorts too...but they turned out to be really tight/revealing bicycle-esque shorts. so much for that.

so my brother's family is in town for the weekend. it's cool to see them again, but it didn't take long to realize how stressing it is. i dunno what it is about me and their kids...but i'm just on edge all the time...i feel like i'm the only one watching them when we go out so when i "discipline" them my mom gets mad haha. oh well, i'll enjoy their company for the next 2 days

wow quentin tarantino directed a jet li film...i have a feeling it'll be a waste of jet li's talents cuz QT will think he's a better director than he really is

okay time for me to organize the stuff in my room again...new carpet = worth moving everything out and back into room

omgosh. international basketball referees. WTFREAK. okay i shouldn't be posting this here exactly but i have to rant...and since chuk's not online, here i go :P

wow so these pre-olympic exhibitions are supposed to be all friendly...but i feel like our team is in enemy territory or something. even the referees are against the US! the calls they made against serbia and montenegro were absolutely ridiculous! they called traveling on ANY sort of fake...even a head fake?!?! they weren't even watching their feet. crap. i mean i know refereeing is hard...but even i could do a better job than that. sheesh. at least the US still owned em. booyah.

so i've never really had some sort of celebrity obsession before...but i think i might be close now. i just bought this hat online, should come next week:

i also need posters for my room so i figured roddick would be a good choice...these are the only acceptable ones i can find though:

nice action shot but it's kind of awkward...plus shows a little too much skin to make me comfortable having it on my wall haha.

not bad i suppose but he sorta looks like clark kent from smallville in this pic.

so what do you think guys? if you can find any better posters, please let me know

i think i'm gonna go buy some tennis clothes tomorrow (as opposed to online like i almost did). i want this shirt too!

i think i'll get these as well. guess who they belong to? :P

anyone up for shopping tomorrow morning or tennis tomorrow evening?

human beings are naturally flawed. i've come to accept this over the years, but only recently have i realized how big of a problem this is...thus, as of late, such flaws have had greater impacts on me. it is unwise to put all of yourself into a relationship with another person because our fallible natures will inevitably lead us to pain. of course this isn't to say that human relations cannot beget joy and the like....but there is one who is eternally faithful and unfailing. putting oneself into the hands of God is one of the few absolute securities in life. knowing that i can trust Him to take care of me actually gives me peace in a world that, pessimistically speaking (quite unlike me), tends to disappoint.

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." - Psalm 28:7
"In God, whose word I Praise, in God I trust without a fear. What can flesh do to me?" - Psalm 56:4
"Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge." - Psalm 62:8

my cousin had her baby ^_^ little AJ

i saw The Last Samurai again last night...i think i might've teared up more this time around :-O such a good movie. next up - Moulin Rouge

SfC basketball tournament at church has been a blaaast. we're 5-0 now wewt. it's been great playing with such awesome ballers...they've really made me a better team player.

oh yeah i almost forgot...i'm going up to minnesota august 17-20th for a family reunion. i actually only know like 5 people on my dad's side of the family...but hey it's a free trip to a beautiful cabin/lake/mountain dealie. i'll be sure to take lots of pictures

in 6th grade, jimmy kachelmeyer had some pencil grips with a very unique structure...they were pretty much shaped to match the positions of your fingers as you held the pencil. for the past 7-8 years, everytime i walked down a school supply aisle i looked for these pencil grips. on Thursday, July 29th i finally found said grips. it's so weird to have finally come to the conclusion of this journey. can't wait to use em when school starts :D

cyn comes home today :D welcome back!

alright gonna go rest before i play tennis tonight. i wish i had some nice cookies to eat...but i don't *ahem* thanks to someone :P you know who you are hehe
