i am now an employee of Johnny Carino's! apparently people haven't heard of it...but it's an italian restaurant being built next to the chili's on highway 6. and instead of being a dishwasher, i'll be a line cook this time! ^_^ i'll be making the salads and desserts during the morning shifts. pretty light stuff, but i'm still kinda nervous about making food for someone other than myself :P

saw star wars last night. i wasn't blown away, but it was pretty cool nonetheless. i think the lightsaber duels have lost a bit of their flair. visuals are still amazing and dialogue is still lame...though i have to admit hayden christensen is better when he's evil. i think the best thing about star wars is hearing a trashcan-looking robot scream like a little girl :)

so spiritually i've been doing better! i felt kinda out of touch with God for a while, just kinda serving mindlessly. but now i feel more intimate in my relationship with Him, and His continued faithfulness and teachings blow me away. talking with dave has helped me see some things a little more clearly, too (i'm lucky to have such a mentor). no matter what happens, i know i can trust God with my life and happily devote my service to Him :)

i was sooo into the nba playoffs this year...but once again, the rockets first round loss has dampened my appetite for basketball. i still badly wanna play though...i haven't truly played all year i believe. yeesh. who wants to be j-e's sports buddy this summer?
